Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to clarify the effect that art therapy influences physicalㆍpsychological symptoms of psychosomatic disordered children. The concrete study subject is as follows:
The results of this study are such as the following.
First, the art therapy appeared to affect the reduction of physical symptoms (somatization) of psychosomatic disordered children, and especially it was effective on reducing symptoms of headache, stomachache, dizziness, muscleache, feeling heavy in the chest.
Second, the art therapy appeared to affect the reduction of psychological symptoms (anxietyㆍdepression) of psychosomatic disordered children, and especially it was effective on reducing symptoms of being on the fret, being strained, anxiety (hastyㆍinattentive), depression (negativeㆍspiritlessㆍworryingㆍtimidㆍdark countenanceㆍlow voice).
Therefore, art therapy appeared to be helpful for healthy self-development, especially by dispelling negative feelings and stresses, solving main troubles, coping positively with stresses as well as for reduction of physicalㆍpsychological symptoms of psychosomatic disordered children.
